Written by a Finnish chef Marc Aulén, The Helsinki Book is a publication exploring manifold spots and stories in Helsinki through the eyes of a local. This project was executed in collaboration with two designers, June Seo and Su Park, and a photographer, Jeaseong Park.

Marc has run a soup restaurant Qulma in Katajanokka, Helsinki since 2010. Developed from his previous cookbook, he wanted to introduce his city including his own recipes. To capture his enthusiastic and energetic characteristics, I got closely involved in the entire process from the initial concept development, the structure featuring 12 categories to layout design including illustrations and icons.

Scope of work
: Concept design, layout design, icon design
